I have found that one of the more difficult things I’m required to do as President is create a monthly President’s Message. The first half the year was relatively easy: we had a great Diversity Luncheon, the excitement of planning and delivering a great Lincoln Memorial Banquet (thank you, Judge Perkins!), and other things to talk about.
Now, not so much. I’m getting tired – as are all of you – of cancelling events and conducting Board Meetings on Zoom.
Relief is on the horizon. Some places are reopening, at least on a limited basis. We won’t have any more events in my term, except for video and telephone meetings, but if we all cross our collective fingers, next year can be almost normal.
There is light at the other end of tunnel. Stick it out a few more weeks, maybe things will be better in July.
