Membership of the Peoria County Bar Association consists of the following categories:
- Regular: Any person may be a Regular member who has ever been licensed to practice law by the highest court in any state; who is not currently suspended or disbarred from the practice of law in any state; who either resides in or has his/her principal office in Illinois; and who is not an Associate, Life, or Retired member. (Admitted to Bar 0 - 5 years: $150/year) (Admitted to Bar 6 - 10 years: $200/year) (Admitted to Bar 10 - 20 years: $250/year) (Admitted to Bar over 20 years: $275)
- Associate: Any person may be an Associate member who has ever been licensed to practice law by the highest court of any state; who is not currently suspended or disbarred from the practice of law in any state; and who neither resides in nor has his/her principal office in the Tenth Judicial Circuit. ($50/year)
- Life: Any person meeting the criteria for Regular or Associate member and also meeting the following criteria may be elected a Life member in the manner hereinafter provided:
- Any person who has been a member of the PCBA for twenty-five (25) years (not necessarily consecutive) and who has reached the age of 70; or
- Any person who has been admitted to practice before the highest court of any state for fifty (50) continuous years.($50/year)
- Student: Any person who is enrolled as a student in a law school, or who has been enrolled as a student in a law school during the prior twelve (12) months, regardless of residency, may be a Student member. ($10/year)
- Retired: Any person who has ever been licensed to practice law by the highest court of any state, who is not currently suspended or disbarred from the practice of law in any state, who no longer engages in the practice of law, and who does not otherwise qualify for life membership. ($50/year)
