Ed graduated from University of Illinois in 1971 and attended and graduated law school at Drake University in 1975. He joined the law firm Strodel & Kingery, Associated in 1975, became a partner in the firm Strodel, Kingery & Durree, Associated in 1978, and most recently was a partner in the firm of Kingery, Durree, Wakeman & O’Donnell, Associated. Ed became a member of the PCBA in 1976 and served as PCBA president from 1994 to 1995. Donations in memory of Edward R. Durree may be made online.
On January 28, 2016, Robert H. Jennetten passed away. Bob received his law degree in 1972 from the University of Illinois and then became a partner in McConnell, Kennedy, McConnell & Morris. Bob helped grow this firm into what is now Quinn, Johnston, Henderson, Pretorius & Cerulo. He joined the PCBA in 1972 where he served as second vice president, vice president, and in 2004, as president. Bob was known as the “Father of Diversity,” as he founded the PCBA’s Diversity Committee and led the formation of the Diversity Scholarship Program. The PCBA has donated $200 to the PCBA Foundation in memory Ed Durree and Bob Jennetten. Public Relations Committee Ashley Miller, PR Committee Chair Adopt-a-School: Attorneys Sonni Williams, Paul Brodersen, and Michael Doubet spoke at Manual Academy on February 25. The students are learning about the constitution and federalism and enjoyed having the attorneys in their classroom to ask questions. More classroom presentations at Manual Academy are being planned. On March 1st, the YLC worked together to package 7 boxes of "Tender Mercy" meals, which can provide food for about 1,120 individuals. Midwest Food Bank is a distribution center and warehouse for donated goods. The donations are distributed to members of the local community as well as international relief efforts.
Volunteers included Arsenio and Keshon Mims, Dustin Jensen, Emily Perkins, Kate Carter, Kerrianne Waters, Jen and Nola Hedrick, Kerry Cassidy, and Wade Blumenshine.

My background is in environmental science and I am coming to Prairie State after running a very large volunteer program at Wildlife Prairie Park. I am originally from Rhode Island but this spring will mark my fourth year in the Peoria area. When I am not working I love spending time with my almost two year old daughter.
