Tazewell County Assistant Public Defender
The Tazewell County Public Defender’s Office has an opening for an Assistant Public Defender.  This is a full-time position.  The pay range is from $65,000 to $80,000 dependent on qualifications and placement in the office.  Applicant must: be Guardian ad Litem certified or be able to obtain certification within three months of hiring; and,

Adjunct Paralegal Instructors - Illinois Central College

The American Bar Association approved Paralegal Programs at Illinois Central College is seeking applicants for two hybrid courses, Administrative Law and Civil Litigation.  The same individual could potentially teach both courses.

Students in these courses will have instructor-facilitated and graded assignments provided online and week and each course will have a mandatory, traditional, in-class session each week of the 16 week semester.  Fall classes begin on Monday, August 19th. Professor Tom Higgins will provide course materials and support throughout the semester. 

The in-class component of each course is scheduled as follows:

Administrative Law - Thursday evenings 7-8:15 p.m.

Civil Litigation - Thursday evenings 8:30-9:45 p.m.

The preferred candidate(s) would be a Lawyer licensed to practice law in the State of Illinois or a degreed Paralegal and have documented experience working in Administrative Law and/or Civil Litigation.

The McLean County State’s Attorney’s Office has an opening for an Assistant State’s Attorney.  Depending on the applicant pool and selected candidate, the opening ranges from an entry level Assistant State’s Attorney I managing a traffic or other entry level docket to a mid-level Assistant State’s Attorney III who would likely be placed in a specialty area such as the Juvenile Division or the like.
